The new film, “Spin Me Round” has all the ingredients to make for an interesting film, if not a great film. A cast that has proven credentials in film and television. A set up storyline that should have payoffs for the viewer. A slick look that (perhaps) reflects the budget allotted for this movie.
At the end of the day, this film was hard to watch. It was poorly executed and the elements (from light comedy to romance to adventure and intrigue) just didn’t work for me. Emphasis on me. Perhaps this film will resonate with some of you out there.
I kept waiting for the film to find its footing and it just never did. I was rooting for it, too. I really was but then the end credits started to roll and the film was over.
Overall, “Spin Me Round” was a complete let down. Perhaps you’ll feel differently.
