ORPHAN: FIRST KILL Film Review August 16, 2022 Eclectic Arts
ORPHAN: FIRST KILL

The new film, “Orphan: First Kill” is the (prequel) follow up to the 2009 film, “Orphan”. For those like me that haven’t seen the first film, you can still enjoy this film without knowledge of the first movie.
Without giving too much away, the lead character of Leena Klammer/Esther (played by Isabelle Fuhrman) is a fascinating character that will make you want to check out the first film.
The story has its twists and turns that, again, for the new viewer, will be fun to partake in. If you’ve seen the first film, I don’t know how this prequel will come across as you may have preconceived notions of what Esther’s backstory is or should be.
I would love to see this turned into a trilogy and hopefully Paramount will greenlight a third installment. Let’s hope if they do it comes much sooner rather than later.
“Orphan: First Kill” was an enjoyable horror thrill ride.
Best,
