The new film, “Population Purge” is a complicated film that has a ton of ideas within it that unfortunately don’t quite add up to a great film.
The plot focuses on a dystopian society where many things have plunged the world into chaos. Made on a budget, the film really comes across as a work in progress. I completely understand the creatives did the very best they could with what they had (my understanding is the budget was way south of a million dollars) but in the end the film just came up short in nearly every area.
I enjoy low to no budget films. That is never an issue with this reviewer. Having said that, “Population Purge” just didn’t do much for me. Perhaps you’ll think differently when you view it.
