The new film, “Murder Company” centers around the D Day invasion and a group of American soldiers that are tasked with smuggling a French soldier behind enemy lines.
Any time a film tackles nearly any aspect of war, it already has its work cut out for it. To make things look and feel as authentic as possible is a big task and usually requires a big budget.
The writing in this film is average at best and unfortunately the action sequences don’t save it either. Kelsey Grammar, perhaps one of the most underappreciated actors of our time, shines in any role he takes on including this one. The rest of the cast is very pedestrian and again they didn’t have much to work with so it just compounds the problem(s).
“Murder Company” is a misfire.
