NIYAZ featuring AZAM ALI
February 11, 2023
Edmonds, WA
Edmonds Center For The Arts
Niyaz featuring Azam Ali performed a beautiful set of music on Saturday evening. Five unique musicians played as one amazing unit for well over ninety minutes. With backgrounds as diverse as the musical influences, the Edmonds Center for the Arts was transformed into a world stage.
There was a pre-show chat that only scratched the surface of the minds of Azam Ali and her bandmate and husband Loga Ramin Torkian. Both artists were very heartfelt and sincere with their answers which endeared them to the audience.
The concert was hypnotizing at times, with the electronic influence meshing well with the authentic instruments from multiple cultures. With Azam’s voice over the top of the musical springboard, everything fell into place and the fans loved it.
As cliche as it may be, the truth is that music really is the universal language. Niyaz featuring Azam Ali proved it.
A beautiful experience.
