Alternative singer songwriter Upsahl stormed into Seattle on Saturday evening as the special guest on Madison Beer’s Spinnin’ Tour. The sold out crowd at the Moore Theatre was anxious to let loose and Upsahl’s high energy set allowed for exactly that!
One thing was evident, Upsahl had all the confidence in the world when she performed on stage. Her constant touring over the years really showed in her performance. She was never in one spot on the stage and she constantly did everything she could to engage the audience.
The crowd was enthusiastic during her entire set with many knowing and singing Upsahl’s tunes as loudly as they could. When she jumped out into the audience and belted her last song from the seats, the crowd went crazy!
Her set was short (25 minutes) and she clearly could have played for another 15-20 minutes without losing the audience one bit. Her set reminded me of when you see a headliner in a support slot on tour. She was that good.
If she returns to Seattle, hopefully on a headline run, make sure you don’t miss out!
Best,
Mark Sugiyama
