The film will be available exclusively in the UK on the Icon Film Channel on June 10th, in UK Cinemas from July 12th, and then on Digital Download from August 12th.
The new documentary film, “Heart Of An Oak” is a fascinating story of a 210 year old oak tree and the inhabitants both in and outside of it.
The storyline that the filmmakers created is really wonderful. They incorporated visual effects seamlessly into the film so much so that you can’t really tell where they used VFX in the shots. How they got some of the footage, particularly in the burrows underneath the tree, is head scratching and intriguing.
The film follows the seasons as they change and the animals' lives as they change along with the seasons. From insects and field mice to squirrels and hogs, the cast of characters in the film is familiar yet unique.
If you like animal documentaries or if you can binge certain animal shows for hours, “Heart Of An Oak” will be right up your alley. I would also add if you enjoy animated films (even though this is not one), you’ll find the charm of the film something that will keep your interest until the end credits roll.
Recommended.
