The new film “Cosmic Dawn” is the second feature film from director Jefferson Moneo. The plot revolves around the lead character Aurora who witnessed an alien abduction when she was a young girl


As an adult, and having been scarred by the incident, Aurora joins a UFO cult. But, all is not as it seems.


“Cosmic Dawn” felt like many ideas rolled into one film that really needed to be edited down and re-focused into a more cohesive narrative. Some of the cast were good, some not so much. I found myself not really caring what happened to any of the characters. So, clearly the film didn’t resonate with me. But that doesn’t mean anything in the grand scheme of things.


I went into “Cosmic Dawn” intrigued by the trailer. I left it unsatisfied. Perhaps you’ll feel different when you view it.
