Fitz And The Tantrums are no strangers to the Seattle area nor the road in general. They have toured and toured and toured and it really shows in their live performances. I first saw the band in 2011 and have seen them several times since. They never disappoint live. Ever.

Michael “Fitz” Fitzpatrick (vocals), Noelle Scaggs (vocals), James King (saxophone, flute), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards), Joseph Karnes (bass), and they have a new drummer (my apologies as I couldn’t find his name) took the stage with their single, “Sway” off the new album.

Unlike the co-headlining tour from last summer, this show was a full headlining set meaning more songs for the fans. “Moneymaker” from the new album still slaps as hard as it did in August 2022 (which makes it a great single).

I love the older material such as “6am”, “More Than Just A Dream”, and “Moneygrabber”. Pretty much the whole world knows or at least recognizes, “The Walker” and “Handclap” as well. The crowd went ape shit when those two tunes were aired.

The ebb and flow of the setlist really shows just how expansive the band’s catalog has grown over the years. The sold-out crowd was loving every minute of it. The demographics for a Fitz and The Tantrums show is as varied as it can possibly get. Families, teens, seniors, and everyone in between can be found bobbing and dancing at a Fitz and The Tantrums show.

The band as I mentioned earlier never disappoints live. Always recommended!

Opening the show was 20 year old Sammy Rash.  Sammy played an enjoyable 30 minute set of tunes that showcased his vocal talents and songwriting.  His self deprecating banter in between songs endeared him even more to the audience.  A great set to start the night off right!
