The new film, “Christmas Bloody Christmas” is one of those films that will develop a cult following, if it hasn’t already. It plays like a throwback horror film in how it looks, the concept of a robotic Santa Claus going haywire, and the relentless killing during the holidays.
The dialogue is realistic and there’s plenty of it. If you remember talking with your friends on a Friday night at the video store about what video to rent, you’ll relate to the banter between the characters in the film.
The visuals are going to be distracting to some viewers, like myself. I’m growing tired of the period piece horror films as of late but they definitely have an audience.
The writer and/or the director are definitely music fans as the dialogue constantly references music facts and opinions. Being someone that reviews, photographs, and interviews bands - this was a positive for me.
Overall, “Christmas Bloody Christmas” is going to be a fan favorite for cult horror fans around the world.
Best,
