The new film “The Tiger Rising” is an interesting tale told from a child’s point of view. Without giving away the plot points, the movie isn’t necessarily a children’s film or even a family film. It is a family drama with some of the artistic idealism that only a child has.
There are some known actors featured in Dennis Quaid and Queen Latifah but the main character is played convincingly by Christian Convery.
At the end of the day, the film, while done well, is a bit odd. It didn’t resonate with me and while it had its moments, it left me unsatisfied. Perhaps you’ll feel different when you see it.
