The new film “Clean” stars Adrien Brody in a dark thriller that he also produced, co-wrote, and composed the score for.
“Clean” is one of those films where all the components are there but they don’t quite come together.
Adrien Brody brings his best to the role but I have to admit the brooding voice was a bit much (think Christian Bale’s Batman voice).
There’s a decent amount of action as the finale unfolds but “Clean” is more about the narrative than anything else.
I could see Adrien turning this into a stage play and it potentially working better than in the film arena.
