The new film from director Andrew Cummings (making his directorial debut) is called “Out Of Darkness”. It is a very different film in that it explores mankind from long ago using a language called TOLA (The Origin Language).
The group of characters must live and survive many hardships during a time period from 45,000 years ago.
The overall feel of the film is interesting but the story is rather bleak. In some instances that can be a good characteristic for a movie. For “Out Of Darkness” it is both yes and no. I like the tone that it adds that the characters are constantly swimming upstream. But by the end of the film, you as the viewer feel tired. At least I did.
“Out Of Darkness” is an interesting film but not something I would jump up and down about.
