The new film “Monolith” from Well Go USA is a great character study. Lily Sullivan plays the lead character who is a podcaster that stumbles upon a mystery. Initially skeptical, the more she investigates the mystery, the more wrapped up in it she becomes.
I’m being vague about the plot as I feel it would tarnish a viewer's experience with the film. Lily Sullivan is the best part about this film. Her acting skills really shine and this role shows she can handle a lead dramatic role in the future (if she doesn’t have one under her belt already).
The finale left me confused and I rarely appreciate that feeling as a viewer. But, I’ll leave that up to all of you to figure out after you’ve seen the movie.
“Monolith” is worth a viewing for Lily Sullivan’s performance alone.
