KENNY G - Residency at Dimitriou's Jazz Alley - December 26 - December 30, 2025 with special New Year's Eve performances on December 31, 2025
KENNY G - The legend returns to Seattle for a multi-night residency at Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley!
As a native Seattle-ite, I know Kenny G and if you’re a native of the area, you know him, too. Heck, if you live anywhere in the civilized world, you know him or at least of him. Having sold over 75 million records worldwide, with numerous awards and achievements along the way, one of Seattle’s own is coming home this week.
Performing at the legendary Dimitriou's Jazz Alley, the award winning musician will be in residence from Friday December 26th through Tuesday December 30th (7:30pm and 9:30pm performances each night), with a special sixth night on Wednesday New Year’s Eve with package options available for both the early and late performances.
I had the opportunity to ask Kenny G a few questions regarding the upcoming performances as well as if he’ll be golfing during his down time (he’s an avid golfer for the uniniated):
Eclectic Arts Media: Homecoming shows for any artist are always special. What thoughts go through your mind as you think about your upcoming residency at Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley in Seattle, WA this week?
Kenny G “I’m super proud of being a Seattle native and being able to bring a successful run of dates to John Dimitriou, who had given so much to the Seattle community by providing a great jazz venue to Seattle. Not that many cities have a jazz club and Seattle is so lucky to have Jazz Alley.”
Eclectic Arts Media: What can the fans expect from the set-lists for the shows? Any holiday tunes by chance?
Kenny G “There will be no holiday songs but we may throw one in. We play songs from a lot of different recordings so hopefully people hear a song they came to hear.”
Eclectic Arts Media: Will you be walking amongst the fans/tables for a song during your shows?
Kenny G “Of course. That’s always the best way to start the show. It connects us all.”
Eclectic Arts Media: With so many memories here in your hometown of Seattle, what performance memories stand out from your numerous shows in Seattle?
Kenny G “Well, playing with the symphony and having my old UW (University of Washington) band director Roy Cummings conduct was very special. May he rest in peace.”
Eclectic Arts Media: One last thing - are you a fair weather golfer? If not - will you be hitting the links during your time in Seattle? Or perhaps a range if the weather is too much?
Kenny G “No golf!! It’s too cold. I’m a wimp now about cold weather golf! Sorry about that.”
So, no golf outings for Kenny G while in Seattle but you can see him do what he does best at Dimitriou's Jazz Alley from Friday December 26th through Tuesday December 30th (7:30pm and 9:30pm performances), as well as the aforementioned special New Year’s Eve performances on Wednesday December 31st (see website for early and late show details for this special date).
Tickets are selling quickly so don’t delay. The best availability are the 9:30pm performances. Purchase tickets: HERE! (opens in new window)
Happy holidays!
