The new film “Millers In Marriage” is a drama written and directed by Edward Burns. Featuring Burns and a cast of talented veterans, the movie takes a look at three married couples coping with the ups and downs of life.
The best part of the film are the performances. With such seasoned actors that have entertained fans for decades, it’s hard to go wrong. The film comes across very much like a play. There was more focus on the acting than anything else in any given scene.
Outside of that, I just found myself not being moved by the storyline therefore I didn’t relate to any of the characters. At times it felt like watching a more realistic soap opera than anything else.
If you’re a fan of any of the cast, then you’ll enjoy their performances. If you’re looking for a drama that will stay with you long after you’ve viewed it, you’ll be longing for something more. I know I did.
Best,
