The new film “Loren & Rose” is an Amazon Prime exclusive starring Jacqueline Bisset and Kelly Blatz. The movie tackles an unfortunate issue that has plagued Hollywood for decades - the actress that is no longer considered relevant due to age.
The film almost plays like a documentary at times. It is a vehicle for Jacqueline Bisset to showcase her acting prowess. Every scene she is in, she is the focus of attention. Period. Her acting is top notch and appropriate for the storyline.
My issue is that that seems to be the only aspect of the film - a vehicle for Jacqueline Bisset. As a whole, the film is a rather odd viewing. It’s interesting but not necessarily satisfying other than Ms. Bisset’s performance.

It’s never easy sharing scenes with a legend and Kelly Blatz does his best but ultimately comes up short in many scenes.
“Loren & Rose” is worth checking out for Jacqueline Bisset’s performance. A reserved recommendation.
