The new film “Blackwater Lane” is promoted as a haunting thriller starring a few known actors with many films under their respective belts.
While the movie is based on a best selling book, the film really never finds its footing. It meanders along and comes across like a project that has no vision or end goal. I wish there was more to say but there really isn't. I was quite disappointed in this film.
This film could have been much better than the sum of its parts but unfortunately it falls flat.
For patrons in the US, the film has been available to stream via Peacock for quite some time now. For those in the UK, your chance comes on January 27th.
