The new film, “Paint” is a lighthearted look at Carl Nargle (played by Owen Wilson), a public access television painter that is all the rage. That is until a new painter starts to steal his audience.
“Paint” is going to bring in a crowd that clearly knows the source material for the lead character. For someone like myself who only knows of the source material but never watched a single episode of his television show, “Paint” is light and comedic at times but there just isn’t much on the bone with this film.
Owen Wilson does a fine job playing the lead character but if I put “Paint” up against the age old litmus test - unfortunately, I wouldn’t watch this film again.
