THE LONG NIGHT comes out on Blu-ray & DVD April 5th
The new horror film, “The Long Night” is an interesting film that is also reminiscent of other films from the occult genre.
Scout Taylor-Compton plays a young woman that never knew her parents. She returns to her hometown area with her boyfriend where things start to become increasingly dangerous and downright evil.
The story is interesting but it does feel very familiar as Scout fights the evil cult followers. Ever since the Halloween films, Scout has been appearing in a lot of horror films. She has the ability to show some incredibly dramatic turns. I hope a project comes along that allows her to show her acting ability over her screaming ability (which is great, btw).
“The Long Night” is a decent late night viewing but, again, it won’t win any points for originality in the horror genre.
