The new film “Relative Control” is a comedic drama that almost anyone could relate to. The different generations of family, watching parents age, and the reality we all must face at one point or another.
The tone of the movie starts out very day to day, with smart dialogue, and wonderful performances from the lead actors. As the story progresses, the film takes a necessary dramatic turn.
I found myself identifying with Teri Polo’s character as my own parents are of a similar age to hers in the movie. The shifts and turns that come with age are unavoidable and they create new scenarios that are hard to come to terms with. At some point, we all go from being our parents children to us being the caretakers of our parents.
“Relative Control” is a solid film worth your time. Seek it out.
