GUNSLINGERS will be in theaters and on demand and on digital April 11, 2025.
The new film “Gunslingers” is a western featuring Stephen Dorff, Nicolas Cage, Heather Graham, and other known actors.
With the talent involved, you would think the film would be of an equal caliber. While it's a solid entry, it’s nothing special which is a shame.
Westerns in particular are hard films to pull off correctly. You can put actors in costumes from the period and find the locations to match but without a distinct feel for the genre, many modern westerns come up short.
“Gunslingers” is very much a by the numbers modern day take on a western. It’s not bad by any means but certainly could be much better considering the talent on the screen and behind the camera.
