STELLA COLE Dimitriou's Jazz Alley 1/27/26 and 1/28/26 Concert Review
STELLA COLE
1/27/26 and 1/28/26
Dimitriou's Jazz Alley
Seattle, WA
Tuesday - January 27, 2026 performance
A crowded Tuesday evening at Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley for one of the brightest stars on the music scene - Stella Cole - felt like we were getting in on something special before it blows up in the very near future.
The first of two nights in Seattle, the crowd was more than ready to be transported back to yesteryear and the timeless tunes of that era.
Stella, backed by a tremendous trio of musicians, took the stage and for eighty minutes performed song after song from the Great American Songbook. Her setlist was changed on the fly, at times, to comedic effect. While no videos were allowed during the show, this journalist was in attendance and couldn’t help but smile when she wanted to do a song she hadn’t done in a long while. Thus, she needed to see the last set of lyrics via her bassist’s smart phone. Everything was handled good naturedly and it only ingratiated Stella to the audience that much more.
With artists that started out building a following via social media, I’m always a bit skeptical of how they will perform in a live setting. It’s “easy” to record yourself at home and upload the content but it’s something else entirely to capture the attention of a random venue filled with fans in any given city on a tour.
Stella is the real deal. The voice you hear on social media platforms and through her albums is as pure as they come. The woman can sing! It was truly a pleasure listening to her wrap her vocals around so many different classic songs. The nuance and the vocal ability Stella used to bring these songs to life in 2026 was absolutely outstanding.
Her band equaled her vocal performance to create a night of unforgettable music. They were all stellar in their own ways.
Stella Cole is on her way up. The next time she’s back in the Seattle area (which is hopefully soon), she will only have gotten better with each musical performance. Strength to strength, Stella Cole is a breath of fresh air in the music industry and I, for one, can’t wait to see her perform again.
Highly recommended!
