Let me just say before I get into the review of the show that last Friday night was a blast! All three artists were amazing and the crowd was filled with fans, media, and friends. I sorely needed a "let loose" show after the past week/months I’ve had as of late and this gig did not disappoint. I felt infinitely better after the show and as luck would have it, things in my professional life (aka day job) took a turn for the better over last weekend to boot. See? Go to a live show and watch things turn out for the better. In any event, all is good in the land of Eclectic Arts Media I’m happy to report.
My live introduction to Little Miss Nasty was via the Lords Of Acid tour in 2019. So, I will always associate the two acts together just due to that fact alone. I’m developing a bit of a history with Little Miss Nasty. The aforementioned show in 2019, the livestream in 2020 to promote the m/v, “Hungry”, interview and full coverage of their headlining show in 2023, a missed opportunity in 2024 due to my back issues (aargh), and now in 2025 a new audio interview and this here review.
Due to being in the special guest slot, Little Miss Nasty performed a blistering 40 minute set trimmed down from their normal headlining show. Spearheaded by founder “Daddy” Gina, along with Skyler, Kendra (who were here last year as well), Hannah, and Laura, the dance troupe took the stage and never looked back.
I’ve said this many, many times to people in person as well as online that Little Miss Nasty is so much more than what you think it would be. The narrow minded will think of some cheap scene in a strip club (no offense to any sex workers out there) but this dance troupe as a collective have decades of dance experience. You can talk to any one of the members and they’ll tell you when they started dancing, what competitions they were a part of, what projects they’ve participated in, what types of dance they studied, what types of dance classes they’ve taught, etc. In other words, these are professional dancers. The key word being professional.
Is their show sexy? Of course it is. Those overtones are all through the show, rightfully so. But, the show is more about the interaction with the audience and the straight fact is that Little Miss Nasty is always having their way with you, not the other way around. You're in their world when you attend a show and they welcome you along for the ride of your life.
The dance athleticism during any of their shows is jaw droppingly amazing. They mix in the dance, the music, the vamp, and the sexiness and produce one Hell of a final product!
Every show I’ve attended there are just as many femme identifying fans as there are male identifying fans (and everyone in between, honestly). Creatives and artistic individuals get, dare I say, more out of a Little Miss Nasty show than the non creative/artistic folks. But, having said that, anyone can enjoy a Little Miss Nasty performance for what it is, or hopefully, for the other layers that are always present any time they hit the stage.
Empowerment, sex, artistic freedom, and a splash of the darker side of life presented itself in this current stage show. By the time they got to the crowd favorite, “Sippin’ On A 40”, the energy at El Corazon was at a fever pitch! Daddy Gina made the right call by keeping this tune in the set. I think there would have been a riot if it hadn’t been played. For more on this behind the scenes information stay tuned for the audio interview I conducted where Daddy Gina explains all of this regarding the setlist.
If you were there (or at any other stop on the tour), you already know I’m preaching to the choir. If you missed the show, please don’t make the same mistake again next time. And if you’re in a city coming up on the tour but don’t have your ticket yet, stop what you’re doing, grab your nearest device, and snatch up a ticket or three or five. You’ll have an amazing time at the show!
Best,

Special thanks to Daddy Gina and Marc J. for always being such wonderful people to work with! Thank you as well to Evan for setting this all up. Cheers!
Also - I now have to add this bit to my reviews: This review was written by a credentialed member of the media who is an actual human being. No Artificial Intelligence programs were used in its creation. Support actual journalism.
The show was headlined by the mighty Lords Of Acid. A longtime legendary industrial act, the band featured their new singer Carla Harvey (formerly of Butcher Babies) on this tour. With their trademark sound and high energy, it was like a sonic overload on Friday night. The crowd ate it up and the band was in fine form, especially for this only being the third show on the tour. They sounded like a well oiled machine and Carla fit in with the band like she had always been there. A great time was had by all.
The show was opened by DJ AlleyKat. She performed a high energy set to set the tone for the evening. I can honestly say (and I told her this after the show) that her set and skills as a DJ were really top notch. I have respect for DJ’s being a musician myself but many sets just aren’t my cup of tea. Many of the alternative/goth shows I attend always have DJ’s in between band sets and rarely have I enjoyed them. DJ AlleyKat's set was truly an exception. Or should that be exceptional? I was pleasantly surprised and I’m now a fan (and have a t-shirt to prove it). Great stuff and congratulations on the little one coming in August.
