Review: Friday 9/29/23 - 8pm Performance
Anytime a show can suck me in within ten minutes of the performance starting, I know I’m in for a real treat. “Last Drive to Dodge” at the Taproot Theatre did exactly that!
This show is a perfect example of when the varying elements of a production come together at equal strength and then create a unified vision of artistry that is so damn good, it really couldn’t be much better.
The actors put on a freaking masterclass in character study and performance. I was just dumbfounded by just how good each and every one of them was. I was lost in their world. I was vested in the characters. I predicted how it all would end and I was (happily) wrong about the ending. This show was just unbelievably fantastic.
I don’t even want to spend more time typing out a review. Just go online and buy your tickets. Now! It’s that good! Trust me on this one - you won’t be disappointed.
I’ve reviewed shows at Taproot Theatre since 2018 (not a long time but long enough) and “Last Drive To Dodge” has to be one of the best productions I’ve ever seen at the theatre.
It comes with my highest possible recommendation!
“Last Drive To Dodge” runs through October 21st. Tickets are available: HERE!
