Review: 8pm Final Dress Rehearsal Performance on September 18, 2025.
The new show to kick off the Edmonds Driftwood Players 67th season is the comedy, “Ken Ludwig’s A Fox On The Fairway”. As someone that’s enjoyed other Ken Ludwig plays, I was glad my schedule opened up so I could see this show.
The first thing that I noticed was the set. It really looked beautiful and incredibly professional. It provided the perfect foundation for the cast to entertain the patrons on Thursday evening.
With a range of mostly familiar and a few unfamiliar faces to me in the cast, Act I set up the story along with the whimsical farce qualities really well. The interplay between all of the characters came across as natural and honest. By the end of Act I, the audience has seen a glimmer of the comedy that was to come in Act II.
The payoffs were more than plentiful in Act II. I found myself laughing out loud more than a few times which was a great indicator to me that the show was achieving its goal. The audience was also laughing in many different spots throughout the show which was exactly what you want when presenting a comedy.
While the cast was truly strong across the board, I have to make mention of Brandon Jepson (as Justin). His comedic timing and delivery were just amazing to watch. Again, the entire cast was strong and each actor and production member should feel incredible about their individual and collective achievements with this show.
“Ken Ludwig’s A Fox On The Fairway’ was the perfect show to start the 67th season with the Edmonds Driftwood Players. Buy your tickets now if you haven’t already and get set for a fun, comedic ride.
“Ken Ludgwig’s A Fox On The Fairway” runs through October 12th. Purchase tickets: HERE!
