For The Uninitiated

Welcome to Eclectic Arts!  That's right this is my only web presence right now.  There is no official Facebook, no MySpace, no Tumblr, nothing.  Why you ask?  A few reasons:

*I can't keep up with the demand for the magazine right now.  If I was sitting on boxes and boxes of copies, then I would have a page made for each of the above including an official website.  But I'm not.  My contacts over the years in the underground have come through to support EA from its inception.  And word of mouth has also helped a great deal.  The demand has been overwhelming and it's a nice problem to have.

*EA was started with the intention of being old school underground. When I decided to make it more diverse, I used the underground as a foundation to build from.  EA isn't a metal only publication.  It covers a wide variety of music and art forms.  Therefore, EA needed to have a certain vision, a certain look, etc.  Basically, I'm doing what I want.  I don't see any reason why I can't have a hand in the underground and one in the mainstream IF I don't compromise my vision.

Will there be a website in the future?  Inevitably, yes.  There is no way around it these days.  However, the print version is what I love, it is my focus, and anyone who buys a copy of the print EA - you will NEVER see the contents online now or in the future.  I hate that BS when bands release limited recordings only to compile them all together later on to make a buck.

The future website will have website only content - just as the print version does.  If the demand for the print version dies...then obviously the website will be the only version of the zine.

Thanks for taking the time - now order a copy of EA!
